WAYNE HUNT 23 5'11 160 lbs waist 29, biceps 15
Currently studying acting, he loves anything to do with theatre or movies. Has produced a number of "home movies" himself. He is currently working with AMG on a physique movie he has written and in which he will star entitled "Sailor on the Beach"
This is AMG photo XN1–CQ. The picture was taken on infra-red film which gives a strange, interesting—not always flattering effect to the body—actually, infra-red film shows you the layer of skin just below the top surface—veins are emphasized—it is most useful in medicine.
Additional infra-red shots of Wayne are found on page 7 of catalog XN13 scheduled for release November 15, 1958. A.M.G. 1834 W 11 St. L.A. 6, Calif.
Letters from Readers: MORE ABOUT IGNORING THE CENSORS.
Mrs. Grundy is still with us, but she is not as powerful as she used to be. JS's advice is good. If you ignore the censors, they will often ignore you. Health books show the human form. So do art books. So do physique magazines.
(Editor’s note: Canada has a number of anti‑censorship groups. Canadian customs are not as strict as they used to be. The American Civil Liberties Union and The Quakers are two groups in the U.S. that have fought censorship.)
AMG FILM, "BROTHER CINDER‑ELMER" TO BE REVIEWED IN SUMMER 58 PHYSIQUE PICTORIAL.
This is a combination of "Cinderella" and "Street Fight." Jim and Don are brothers. Jim does all the housework. Don treats him cruelly. One day Don tries to stop Jim from doing something. They fight. Jim hits Don with a plaster tiger and runs away. The summer issue will have an illustration and further explanation of the plot.

TO WHAT EXTENT SHOULD PHYSIQUE PHOTOGRAPHERS CONFORM?
Brilliant psychologists have pointed out that in America and many other countries as well there is today an almost pathological urge to conform in almost every phase of life, and some of them frankly suggest intelligent revolt. Certain pseudo‑moral taboos greatly limit the expression of physique photographers. There are various pressure groups which object to physique books solely because of the degree of nudity involved. In contrast, certain Los Angeles dealers refused to handle our Winter 57 edition of Physique Pictorial because the subjects on the cover were in clothes—and “why couldn’t we conform to the accepted standard and keep our covers on standard physique poses”? No matter how willing one is to conform he will always displease some people anyway.
Conformity is as dangerous to a society as cancer is to a body (unless of course one considers the societies of ants and bees to be an ideal goal to strive for). In our own field of physique photography we see no reason why conformity is either necessary or desirable. We do consider it prudent that all workers in this field avoid entanglement with the various laws which forbid the display of genitalia, pubic hair, implied fornication etc., and we feel they would be wise to stay well on the safe side of the border area of picturizations which might too easily lend themselves to misinterpretations. But some laws and their enforcements attempt to cover such a vague field as to forbid almost any picture that a prurient minded person by stretching his imagination might read something into.
As to standardization of physique poses, we consider it high time they become unstandardized. What was good enough for grandpa isn’t good enough for us. Each physique artist should be able to express himself the way he desires to. In the case of Physique Pictorial, even if it means having circulation go down to a mere subsistence level we will not accept the dictates of newsdealers, pressure groups or others who would force us to conform.
